Corporate History

MCC was established in 1982 by four (4) young gentlemen—Mr. Jimmy Go, Mr. Rosendo Go, Mr. Fernando King, and Mr. Danny Tan—as an authorized dealer of Apple Computers. Originally the MCC office was located along Rizal Avenue Extension, Kaloocan City. After a year of operation, MCC gained sales success and was appointed by Fujitsu Limited, Japan as Philippine exclusive distributor of Fujitsu Microcomputers.

In 1985, we moved to a bigger and better venue at Yupangco Building, Senator Gil J. Puyat Avenue, Makati City.  In that same year, MCC was appointed as the Philippine exclusive distributor of Mitsui Computers. From then on, several products became available to us including the Philippine exclusive distributorship of Roland DG plotters; Iomega Bernoulli Box; Fujitsu hard disks and printers; and Arche Computers.

In 1986, MCC made our debut participation in the Computer Manufacturers, Distributors, and Dealers Association of the Philippines (COMDDAP) exhibit and became an active member of the biggest yearly IT event in the country.

In 1988, we again gained sales success and positioned ourselves as one of the well-respected computer distributors in the country. Considering the growth MCC attained in the previous years we decided to transfer to 2nd Floor, Saville Building, 8728 Paseo de Roxas Street corner Senator Gil J. Puyat Avenue, Makati City. Several new products had been added to our product line including the Philippine exclusive distributorship of Datamini computers, ASG CAD software, Kurta digitizers, GeniLAN networking products, Genius products, Hayes modems, Keyfile software; the authorized dealership of AutoDesk products, Microsoft software, and Hewlett Packard printers. In addition, Novell, the developer of NetWare—then leading network operating system—appointed MCC as the only Platinum Reseller of NetWare in the country mainly because of its proven expertise and excellent service and support.

In 1993, we started to cover the whole archipelago by opening our own service center in Davao City and the following year in Mandaue City.  This move extended our presence in the three (3) major island groups of our country and at the same time, gave due recognition to MCC clients in the southern part of the country.

In 1994, Microcircuits Corporation ventures to the development of Point of Sales (POS) systems for cashiering and the Automated Bills Payment Machines which eventually was used by Citibank and Globe Telecoms. This Automated Bills Payment System is an alternative way of providing a user-friendly and easy-to-manage bill payments collection system that can further increase the company’s quality of service while streamlining its operations.

Because of our excellent service and support coupled by MCC’s strength in government accounts, Compaq Philippines appointed MCC in 1995 as one of their authorized dealer and System Service Provider in the Philippines.

With the success of the Automated Bills Payment Machines with Citibank and Globe Telecoms, the same application system was introduced to Smart Communications in the year 1996 which was called as the Automated Collection Machines (ACM). Microcircuits Corporation and Smart Communications have been a partner ever since with MCC maintaining over 52 ACMs to over 51 Smart Communication Wireless Centers nationwide.

By 2002, MCC was named as the exclusive distributor by IBM Philippines, Inc. for the Education Box or desktops for the education sector partnering with CBCP World to cater to various Catholic Schools in the country to provide internet access using the VSAT technology.

By the year 2003, MCC has been recognized as a major IT solutions provider in the industry with a vision of uplifting the computer literacy in the country through marketing of highly innovative products along with a commitment of quality service and support affirming to the significance of technological excellence. It is also in this year that MCC ventured into providing computerized application systems for Local Government Units. MCC partnered with the best Systems Provider for the Local Government Units, the SYSTEMS & PLAN INTEGRATOR & DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (SPIDC) in providing excellent Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects for Local Government Units in key areas in the Philippine Archipelago.
